  The Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) is the focal point for the study of international economic law at Georgetown University and one of the leading centers for international economic law and policy in the world. Founded in 1999 by University Professor John H. Jackson, the IIEL’ s objective is to facilitate thoughtful and scholarly research on a broad range of subjects that concern the law of international economic activity. Originally focused on trade, the Institute now boasts leading capabilities and international renown in a range of areas including investment and financial regulation, tax, business and monetary law.
